Unfortunately I have been too busy with school and work but I decided to spare some time for my writing and hang around here more often since it makes me happy.

KITES OF LIES

A lie is like a jab; a quick short straight punch. Especially, when it comes from someone you care about, it cuts sharp into one's heart.

When one kites many lies, doubts come too; many of them. Why do we lie? Is lying sweeter than being honest?

The first lie always calls for another, and another. As it goes on, one gets convinced that his or her lies are true. The real truth is counter offered by the non-existing truth. 

Ever wondered how rumours spread faster than good news? Are we willing to jeopardize our lives with lies so that we get what we want? How about the Aftermath? What is next? Any guilt? Any regrets?

Making a lie is like taking alcohol, it first tastes sweet, soothing and satisfying - helps you forget your problems. As more lies are made, just as more alcohol is taken, one loses control and lies become problems.

The kites of lies we make will definitely destroy us at the end. There is a reason it is forbidden in the Ten Commandments. However, as human beings we have a defect of disobeying and following our own thoughts.

Lies bite! Lies sting! Lies kill!

THE SIGN LANGUAGE

A one-off language!

Not needed by everyone but recommended for everyone.

Nowadays, humanity is at different concentrations. And with no doubt, the deaf are still one of those considered at the lower edge of the hierarchy.

Due to their inconsiderable number, their potential has not been appreciated; maybe for some, but very few.

Their main challenge is hearing. But they can still bring a transformation with what they still have. As the saying goes, “There is light in every tunnel.”

From the 16^th century till today, the solution has been the sign language.

A language that involves gestures of the hands and body and facial expressions to express a thought or idea!

It has been a revelation to many of our hearing-impaired loved ones. It is as rich and complex as the oral language with all the required complex grammar. It is a language that is unlimited. It can be used to discuss any subject.

At the beginning, I declared that it is recommended for everyone. It is factual. We need to share this exceptional language with them so that we can correspond with them, appreciate the sound proof that surrounds them and foresee their effort and will.

We call on each other. Man is a society. We need each other to develop and advance. So do them! As Henry Ford puts it, “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”

Just like an oral language, there are different types of sign language. For example, french Sign Language, British Sign Language, Danish Sign Language and many more.

Globally, we can never undermine anyone because life is full of surprises. A point in time, when you least expect, the sign language may save or change your life; not only for our beloved hearing-impaired friends but YOU as well. Let’s be social butterflies and bring enthusiasm to this language as a way of appreciation.

Try learning it as something new! As the Chinese proverb goes, “Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.”

It is a useful piece in our current social world.

PASSION FOR FASHION

Fashion has become a striking form of business. However unlike other businesses, it is an art where one’s passion is laid out; through design of different ideas on paper, then on fabric and as output, attire is created from that.

Sometimes fashion fades out because of lack of inspiration; when one does it for the sake of money and no passion behind it. It is through fashion that one gets ideas even in the darkest situations. Fashion is not calculating transactions. It requires creativity, innovation and love for it.

Fashion is a fairy tale that is brought out to blend with reality. It is an idea of beauty from the mind that is made tangible for all to see, have and use.

There are different levels of fashion. We are not all with the same temperament. There are those who are loud in their fashion and those who are calm and in a comfort zone with what they have. Are there fanatics in fashion? I would not call them fanatics. There are those who have an extreme enthusiasm for fashion because it is through fashion that they acquire their sense of belonging and ownership. They are recognized only through their fashion.

Fashion has come from a far cry; from old fashion to contemporary mode. However, so far the ancient fashion is a touch that has been blended with the contemporary one, with f.a.q (fair average quality).

Are there people who shy off from fashion? They do exist. Their lifestyle is different. They dress depending on the environment and not how they feel. Fashion is an emotional lifestyle; an outward expression of your inward passion. There are those who wake up from pajamas to working attire, from working attire to pajamas. During leisure times, they dress depending on whether it is hot or cold or what type of job they are doing at the moment. They do not base their dressing on any inspiration. It is normal; we have different central tendencies. Fashion may not be theirs.

To have the passion for fashion, one should not be fastidious. Having a free and open mind provides room to see beauty in something and find affection towards it.

Faute de mieux (For lack of anything better), fashion is there, a free zone for anyone. As humans we have sensitivity tendencies. So having emotion is not an option; we just tend to have different forms of it. So fashion is not behind bars. It is as free as the air we breathe. You can realize it depending on your perspective towards it.

There is felicity in fashion. It may sound naive but not to those who indulge in it. Preaching the joy of fashion to someone who finds dressing as just a form of covering is only going over deaf ears.

Making art and practicing design of imaginable and unimaginable ideas requires the feu de joie (fire of joy) to visualize it. Even fashion with the dark themes is made out of passion. Passion is neither good nor bad so you know where I am going with this.

Yes! Fashion of certain extent brings out misunderstanding and confusion mostly if fashion is used to demonstrate something; could be politics or a form of protest. So going over with a fine-tooth comb, fashion is here to stay. Even the hourglass will empty out way sooner before fashion fades out.

DRIBBLE YOUR MARBLES

In life we all have marbles; it all lies on how we visualize it. Our marbles are the opportunities that we can embark in.
 Ever had a chance or prospect but backfires on you? All you need to do is dribble your marbles. It is not always your fault; it may be the wrong moment or the wrong place. 
So never permanently leave an opportunity because of one failure. Dribble your marbles, when you get that opportunity again you may stand up victorious. It has happened. It is there. And as the saying goes, “Failure is part of success.”

Now the opportunity is there! You have developed! But what brings us back to our original state?
It is because we classify this experience as a back matter; it is not important anymore. It is like throwing a marble from its set because you tend not to use it again.

This is not the right line of attack. 
Development requires an important fuel; positive pressure on what we have. 
This positive pressure is exerted if we dribble our opportunities; interconnect them and build other opportunities through those basic opportunities. It does not matter whether the opportunity is big or small; simple or complex.

Living is not swimming. There are no backstrokes in life where you can go backwards and make a change that will impact the future. Rather there are opportunities that can improve the future despite the past state. These opportunities are our drives.

To add, it is not just a matter of having the opportunity; it should be backed up by one’s attitude. Attitude! A strong drive! Can bring you down or raise you up. It is up to you.

Are opportunities bad or good? They can be both. But the ultimate opportunity is that which is good; not only based on the material goods like money. It is beyond that. It is that which brings happiness; a feeling that every human being desires.

A good opportunity is surrounded with good and favorable circumstances. Therefore do not be bait for a bad circumstance because you arrogantly believe something good will come out. It is all in the head. Let us come to reality.

Much of dribbling the marbles! Now what if the marbles roll towards you every time you release them? I would call that luck. 
Take the luck but the quest should be moderate enough for you to realize your intention and the circumstance of using that marble or opportunity.

Definitely good opportunities raise us to the top. But having to reach there, we tend to get excited and unstable because we want more and more. We get episodes of anxiety. 
For some they can handle it but a high percentage is defeated.
 Man needs a balance pipe that equalizes his reality; not to get out of touch with reality because beyond reality there is a black sheet that he falls on and goes down because of lack of direction. Consequently, you end up starting a fresh or sadly you may not be able to get back up.

So just like a ballplayer that controls the ball in soccer, control your opportunities in all rates so as not to go overboard.

There will always be beds of roses and beds of nails, but to be hopeful constantly, let the banner headline on your life page be, “Dribble my marbles, triple my future.”

SMALL ACHIEVEMENTS, BIG ACHIEVEMENTS

Life is weird.
You think that you can handle it all until you bump into the reality of the unreality.
Making achievements in this world is as hard as controlling ice-cream from melting in the hot sun.
But the reason we make these achievements or still hope for them is because there are living legends who have fought tooth and nail and made it to their achievements.
Big or small? who cares!
What matters is the bit of exertion that you have put to reach that new state.
So we focus our hope blindly for a better tomorrow.
 It is all hard work; hard work that involves people, determination, patience, hope, perseverance, good will and most importantly God.
Yes, God!

VOICE

A 5 letter word!!
Ever thought how life would be without it?
It is a powerful gift that we have but we realize it mostly when we are deprived of it.
It is a form of communication that has no means.
 Your voice is heard once you open your mouth and say something. It is limited only when set into ordeal situations for example death arising or born dumb.
Voice is what brings out the sound of singing, the sound of laughter and the sound of crying as well.
 How would it be if we laughed without any voice heard? I would not want to imagine!
Just as beauty is seen in nature, beauty is also found in our voice. Our voice establishes who we are.
Try reading something yourself quietly and letting a sane person read it aloud to you. Is there a difference? Yes! Yes there is. The voice is like a special ingredient in speech. It expresses beyond what numbers and words would express on paper.
The voice is not only the sound that comes from your mouth but the way you express yourself.
The joy of having a voice is so as to give your opinion and also speak for others as well.
Others? Yes indeed! We cannot live alone and you cannot be satisfied alone. The exquisiteness of being surrounded with others is so that we can share happiness.

Voice is also seen as a talent. Thus, it leads to the arising of singers and delightful melodies.

The voice is what brings music to being. Music is a central bond for people in the world. Music is made by people and it is through these people’s voices that the music is created.

The voice is also a mathematical formula for development of oneself and society. It is through voice that a corporate, societal and civic world can grow and establish an advanced state.

Without voice, people would be dying of poverty, hate, and in violence. Also, people would be naïve on how to become better people since without voice, communication is not there. Thus, there are no advices, encouragements and corrections.

Now do you see how the voice, the 5 letter word, has an impact in our lives?

So wherever you are, whatever you do and whoever you are with, ask yourself if your voice can make a difference at that moment……..
